The Chilli Pickle Reflect

Although 2011 isn’t over – it has proved to be quite a year for us at The Chilli Pickle.

Locally it was high praise indeed when we came in second place for “Best Restaurant’ in the 2011 Brighton & Hove Foodie Awards. On a national level we were overjoyed to discover that we had retained our Michelin Bib Gourmand – despite the move to larger premises. We went on to be awarded 86th position within the Top 100 UK National Restaurant Awards – considering how many restaurants there are in the UK this was a great achievement.

We were finalists in the National Curry Awards for Best Chef and Best in South East categories.

And last but by no means least Alun enjoyed his 19 minutes and 54 seconds of fame on national television when he was asked to participate in Britain’s Best Dish – The Chefs. His dish of Goat kandha masaledar can be recreated by visiting http://www.itv.com/food/recipes/goat-kandha-masaledar
