The dinner menu at The Chilli Pickle is a window onto the incredible diversity of Indian cuisine. Our selection of nibbles and homemade chutneys will awaken the palate, and our starters span the highest Himalaya to the Konkan Coast.
Religious and cultural observances have given India one of the world’s most sophisticated vegetarian cuisines. Two distinct communities stand out: the traditional dishes of a Rajasthani merchant class spread across our Marwari Platter, while ancient immigrants from Persia are the inspiration for our Parsi Squash Dansak.
Out of the searing heat of the tandoor oven come Lamb Chops served in a Rogan Josh masala, or an unconventional spread of turkey boti kebab, guinea fowl malai breast and chicken seekh kebab on our Festive Tandoori Plate.
We celebrate our connection to the sea with a whole seabream in a green peppercorn chutney, served steaming in a banana leaf. Meanwhile, the south coast’s prized mackerel are served in a fiery Assamese sauce.
To end on a sweet note, try our ever-changing selection of homemade Indian sweets or the classic Gajar Ka Halwa or Gulab Jamun. Made with local cream from the Northiam Dairy, our homemade ice-cream comes in inventive and surprising flavours including Date, Cardamom, Honeydew melon and Betel Nut.
